Guided tour of Jaffa, “Bride of the Sea”

About 60 people joined a tour of Jaffa organized by the al-Rabita Association, the Chadash Civil Forum, and Zochrot. Our tourguide was Sami Abu Shchadeh of the al-Rabita Association. The tour examined the historical relationship between Jaffa and the ‘White City’ of Tel Aviv, the latter typically disconnected from the context of Jaffa. We heard the story of the Nakba of Jaffa and learned about ongoing discrimination in the city.
