Sign Vandalized

In May 2006, following a successful legal campaign by Zochrot, the JNF posted two signs designating the villages of Yalu and Imwas at Canada Park. A month later one of the signs disappeared, and a few days ago (around July 12, 2006) the remaining sign was vandalized. As can be seen in the photo, the text referring to the Palestinian villages has been completely covered in paint, while the text in the upper portion of the sign (describing the Hasmonean, Byzantine, Roman, and Crusader periods in the park) remain unscathed.
