As the #Eurovision19 comes to an end & as we commemorate #Nakba71, which continues to this day, we at Zochrot begin a new journey of our work towards #ReturnVision. We kick off with a hopeful song that affirms Palestinians' return to their homes. This song, made by the amazing Palestinian Rapper, Tamer Nafar, is for every Palestinian refugee that wishes to return home, for every Palestinian that wishes to see his homeland, for every displaced Palestinian that can only see his village and for all refugees around the world that long for their return home.

We see a better and bright future for all only with Realzing rthe right of return. #BringingBackHope

Lyrics:

I'm Returning Home

Returning home,I’m returning home,
Where I can wash the dust of time off my hands.
Returning home, I’m returning home,
If you pull the land from beneath my feet, I
Will be falling up, falling up Falling up, falling up .
I turn off the lights, close my eyes and fall at home.

As far as I’m concerned, the world can tumble upside down.
I am supposed to get home, take away the noise, and not hear its sound.
I’m supposed to isolate myself from the chaos, and listen to the most beautiful note.
The sound of the key as it goes in the lock and the key keeps turning, keeps turning.
And the key keeps turning, keeps turning, and the key keeps turning, keeps turning.
And the key keeps turning, keeps turning, and the key keeps turning, keeps turning, but something is still missing.

There is no home without you. There is light, but not the light of your eyes.
I dreamt that you returned to town, hold my hand because they changed its name.
See, these are our houses, keep your hindrance outside, slam the door in their face.
Take us back to where they stole our moments…. And the time keeps turning, keeps turning. And the time keeps turning, and the time keeps turning, keeps turning.
And the time keeps turning, keeps turning and I’m,

Returning home, I’m returning home,
Where I can wash the dust of time off my hands.
Returning home, I’m returning home,
If you pull the land from beneath my feet, I
Will be falling up, falling up Falling up, falling up .
I turn off the lights, I close my eyes, I fall at home.

There is no home without you. There is no home without you. I
dreamt that you returned to town, and the key is turning.
An entire nation was expelled from its land, what language should we say this?
This key goes in this lock, And the key keeps turning , keeps turning.
And the key keeps turning, keeps turning, and the key keeps turning, keeps turning.
And the key keeps turning, keeps turning and brother, you are still missing.
We did not weep when we were leaving,
For we had neither time nor tears, and there was no farewell.
Hopeful eyes, vague horizon, I don’t want Waze, there is only one way.
A return without leaving, the only path, and the time goes by, it goes by.
And the time keeps turning, keeps turning, and the time keeps turning, keeps turning.
And the time keeps turning, keeps turning, and I’m Returning home,
I’m returning home, Where I can wash the dust of time off my hands.
Returning home, I’m returning home,
If you pull the land from beneath my feet, I
Will be falling up, falling up Falling up, falling up .
I turn off the lights, I close my eyes, I fall at home
