Nataša Kandić will attend a special meeting with civil society organizations and activists discussing the role of civil society in pursuing transitional justice.
Nataša Kandić is the founder and executive director of the Humanitarian Law Center in Belgrade and the leader of the RECOM initiative, which seeks to establish a regional truth commission for the Balkans. RECOM has brought hundreds of civil society actors from the various Balkan countries to collaborate in pursuing a common purpose.
In this special meeting, Nataša Kandić will share her experience as a human rights activist whose initiatives promoted justice and reconciliation in the Balkans, and encouraged collaborations in these areas among civil society actors from the different Balkan countries despite ethno-national tensions.
