On the evening that the State of Israel celebrates its "independence," established on the ruins of the lives and towns of the Palestinian people, Zochrot invites you to gather together for meaningful community activity. Let us return to the events of 1948 and their devastating consequences; explore the ongoing Nakba today: in Qalansawe, Sheikh Jarrah, Khalat al-Daba, Gaza, Ain al-Hilweh, Jaffa or Silwan; and imagine together a just future for for all the land’s inhabitants and Palestinian returnees.
